WHAT IS AMO LIVING ARCHIVE?
The Amo Living Archive will be housed in the exhibition space in the new entrance area of the IfEE. The "Kiosk" (rain roof) in the backyard is also part of it.
The Amo Living Archive presents visual, acoustic, documentary and artistic material that has been created and continues to be created in the context of the research on Anton Wilhelm Amo, the efforts to rename AW-Amo-Straße (M*Straße) and the ongoing scientific and artistic work in the context of "Decolonial Flânerie".
The interior design and furniture were developed and constructed in collaboration between the institute and the designers from coopdisco. For more information on this project, see https://coopdisco.net/projects/um-ordnung-ee/.
The modular structure means that the rooms of the Amo Salon and the Amo Living Archive can be changed again and again depending on requirements and use (exhibitions, events, seminars, parties).
In terms of content, the "Amo Living Archive" sees itself as a place for the documentation of transdisciplinary, multimodal research processes and social debates, as well as for exchange between students, academic staff, artists and civil society. The Amo Living Archive remains in constant flux at the curatorial, technical and material level - in the sense of a future laboratory that is open to all actors at the institute and beyond for joint design and use.

Das Amo Lebendige Archiv wird im Ausstellungsraum im neuen Eingangsbereich des IfEE untergebracht. Auch der “Kiosk” (Regendach) im Hinterhof gehört dazu.
Das Amo Lebende Archiv präsentiert visuelles, akustisches, dokumentarisches und künstlerisches Material, das im Kontext der Forschung zu Anton Wilhelm Amo, den Bemühungen zur Umbenennung der AW-Amo-Straße (M*Straße) sowie der fortlaufenden wissenschaftlichen und künstlerischen Arbeit im Rahmen des "Dekoloniales Flanieren" entstanden ist und weiterhin entsteht.

Inhaltlich versteht sich das “Amo Lebendige Archiv” als ein Ort der Dokumentation von transdisziplinären, multimodalen Forschungsprozessen und gesellschaftlichen Debatten, sowie des Austauschs zwischen Studierenden, wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter*innen, Künstler*innen und Zivilgesellschaft. Dabei bleibt das Amo Lebendige Archiv auf der kuratorischen, technischen und materiellen Ebene in ständiger Bewegung – im Sinne eines Zukunftslabors, das allen Akteur*innen am Institut und darüber hinaus zur gemeinsamen Gestaltung und Nutzung offensteht.
