The website of the Amo Collective Berlin is dedicated, among other things, to the renaming of M*Strasse in Berlin-Mitte to Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Strasse, as this is the context from which the Amo Collective emerged. By documenting these civil society struggles, which are also actively supported by the IfEE, the topicality of the history of anti-racist activism is emphasised. The information gathered on the website serves to share knowledge and make it accessible to a wider public.
The members of the Amo Collective recognise that this is not a complete account of the struggle to rename M Street, and so we are grateful for any information and materials that can be provided for this website or the archive we are building. Die Webseite des Amo Kollektiv Berlin ist unter anderem der Umbenennung der M*Straße in Berlin-Mitte in Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Straße gewidmet, da dies der Kontext ist, aus dem das Amo Kollektiv hervorgegangen ist. Durch die Dokumentation dieser zivilgesellschaftlichen Kämpfe, die vom IfEE auch aktiv mitgetragen werden, wird die Aktualität der Geschichte des antirassistischen Aktivismus hervorgehoben.
